57 Mondays

57 Mondays
Getting people on board with Dylan

I have 57 Mondays remaining as a university lecturer and this week I'm listening to my 13yo son's mantra "get people on board". Dylan has used that phrase when thinking about how things get done. If you get people behind an idea, you can often simply push the idea out in front of yourself and then count on others to lean into the idea as it takes on a new shape.

Getting people on board

I have several ideas worthy of getting over the line before I finish teaching with the Technological University of the Shannon. I'd like to see those ideas take shape and manifest themselves as parts of the curriculum on our Clonmel Digital Campus. I also want to see some of the collaborative work I've started with both the Irish Innovation Skillnet and the County Tipperary Chamber Skillnet continue to reach larger audiences. In both cases, I need to get some people on board.

One Vault to rule them all

So behind the scenes I'm refocusing my energy on people pages I've set up inside my Obsidian Vault. You need to be able to log into my Obsidian to see those people pages. If I'm successful, I'll be able to compress the CRM system I'm using with Zoho into actionable parts of my daily workflow.

Trusting Obsidian with Core Info

Trusting Obsidian to take the most central part of my working life is a big step for me. I've integrated my Obsidian with Relay.md which allows trust agents to dive into the middle of my business intelligence--something I need to experience myself before recommending this markdown service as a gold-plated collaborative knowledge management system. I've added a routine to my schedule that takes me into Obsidian discussions online as I take this bold leap into consolidating decades of my teaching, research, writing, and transcripts.

As the 57 remaining Mondays count down, I'm cross-posting my Obsidian journey on my microblog under the PKM category. You can see that category if you're subscribed to my microblog.
